Sugar was the focus during World Around Us as P6/7 explored another aspect of the class's Food Glorious Food topic. The children followed a recipe to make Yellowman. Colourful patterns were created when they dissolved sugary Skittles in water before researching to discover how sugar affects teeth. Others investigated the language used on sweetie wrappers, created a list of appropriate adjectives and then designed a persuasive label for Yellowman packaging.
