Forest School
5th Mar 2025
Key Stage 2 pupils spent a morning in Dungannon Park participating in forest school activities organised by Mid Ulster District Council.
They learned about forest animals and their habitats and got to inspect birds’ and wasps’ old nests. They were put to the test when asked to name various birds and trees and were challenged to use forest materials to create a picture of their choice. No session would be complete without some maths and so the children were taught various methods to estimate the height of trees.
