Last term our P1/2 class created Jubilee cake pictures for the Queen and these were posted to Her Majesty in Buckingham Palace. The children were delighted to receive a thank-you letter today from Balmoral Castle written on behalf of the Queen by her Lady-in-Waiting. When we opened the envelope we did not realise what a poignant date this would be.
