100th Day at School
13th February was far from a normal school day. It was the 100th day at school during 2017/18 and a party had been organised to celebrate the occasion. KS2 pupils wrote a clever poem containing 100 words. The children counted out 100 snacks for break time treats and decorated cupcakes using sweets to show 100. 100 balloons were inflated and after the children popped 100 party poppers they had fun bursting the balloons. Foundation and KS1 pupils made crowns countaining 100 decorations while KS2 pupils were challenged to design and make boats that would each float 100 pennies. KS1 children competed to build the tallest structure that would support a £1 coin using 100 cocktail sticks and 100 marshmallows. In the afternoon 99 helium balloons were released. 99? We'll not name and shame the teacher who released a balloon in the hall too high to be retrieved!
