Money, Money, Money

5th Oct 2017

As part of their World Around Us Topic, P6/7 children visited Ulster Bank Dungannon. The class prepared for this trip by compiling a list of questions and a P7 pupil made the phone call to arrange the visit. The children had the opportunity to see behind the scenes and particularly enjoyed visiting the vault. They estimated quantities, weighed coins, counted notes, discovered how forged notes are identified, handled historic coins and a range of foreign currencies. The hardest task was handing the money back! Before heading back to school the children were treated to a milkshake in Bob and Berts. Many thanks to the staff in the Ulster Bank and Bob and Berts Dungannon for making this educational outing extraordinarily fun!!
